Tonsora is booking and checkout software used by barbershops. This page explains what information it collects, why, and who it's shared with.

Clients

• When you book or check in, we collect your name, phone number, the date and time, and the barber and service you choose.
• We use it only to schedule your appointment and so the shop and your barber can reach you about it.
• Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Barbers

• The shop adds your name and mobile number. Your number is used to text you when a client books with you.
• Payouts and the weekly bank debit for your space fees go through Stripe; your bank and identity details are held by Stripe, not by us.
• We keep a record of each service you check out (amount, tip, flat space fee) to calculate your weekly fees.

Text messages

“Tonsora booking alerts” are appointment texts. Barbers agree to them when they're added in the app with their mobile number, and get a text for each new online booking. Clients agree when they book, to texts about their own appointment. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help; the shop can also remove your number.

Mobile numbers and text-messaging consent are never shared, sold or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Twilio sends the messages on our behalf only.

Who processes the data

• Stripe — card payments, payouts, bank debits
• Twilio — booking text messages
• Supabase — database hosting
• Clerk — the shop owner's sign-in
• Vercel — website hosting

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept as long as the shop needs them for its business and tax records. You can ask the shop to delete your booking information unless it's needed for those records.
